Baab Jannat Ka Wasf Aur Is Ki Naimaton Ka Tazkira

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا شَبَابَةُ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَطَاءٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ،‏‏‏‏ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّ الْمَيِّتَ يَصِيرُ إِلَى الْقَبْرِ،‏‏‏‏ فَيُجْلَسُ الرَّجُلُ الصَّالِحُ فِي قَبْرِهِ غَيْرَ فَزِعٍ،‏‏‏‏ وَلَا مَشْعُوفٍ،‏‏‏‏ ثُمَّ يُقَالُ لَهُ:‏‏‏‏ فِيمَ كُنْتَ؟ فَيَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ كُنْتُ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ،‏‏‏‏ فَيُقَالُ لَهُ:‏‏‏‏ مَا هَذَا الرَّجُلُ؟ فَيَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ،‏‏‏‏ جَاءَنَا بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ مِنْ عِنْدِ اللَّهِ فَصَدَّقْنَاهُ،‏‏‏‏ فَيُقَالُ لَهُ:‏‏‏‏ هَلْ رَأَيْتَ اللَّهَ؟ فَيَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ مَا يَنْبَغِي لِأَحَدٍ أَنْ يَرَى اللَّهَ،‏‏‏‏ فَيُفْرَجُ لَهُ فُرْجَةٌ قِبَلَ النَّارِ،‏‏‏‏ فَيَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهَا يَحْطِمُ بَعْضُهَا بَعْضًا،‏‏‏‏ فَيُقَالُ لَهُ:‏‏‏‏ انْظُرْ إِلَى مَا وَقَاكَ اللَّهُ،‏‏‏‏ ثُمَّ يُفْرَجُ لَهُ قِبَلَ الْجَنَّةِ،‏‏‏‏ فَيَنْظُرُ إِلَى زَهْرَتِهَا وَمَا فِيهَا،‏‏‏‏ فَيُقَالُ لَهُ:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا مَقْعَدُكَ،‏‏‏‏ وَيُقَالُ لَهُ عَلَى الْيَقِينِ كُنْتَ،‏‏‏‏ وَعَلَيْهِ مُتَّ،‏‏‏‏ وَعَلَيْهِ تُبْعَثُ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ،‏‏‏‏ وَيُجْلَسُ الرَّجُلُ السُّوءُ فِي قَبْرِهِ فَزِعًا،‏‏‏‏ مَشْعُوفًا،‏‏‏‏ فَيُقَالُ لَهُ:‏‏‏‏ فِيمَ كُنْتَ،‏‏‏‏ فَيَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ لَا أَدْرِي،‏‏‏‏ فَيُقَالُ لَهُ:‏‏‏‏ مَا هَذَا الرَّجُلُ؟ فَيَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ النَّاسَ يَقُولُونَ قَوْلًا فَقُلْتُهُ،‏‏‏‏ فَيُفْرَجُ لَهُ قِبَلَ الْجَنَّةِ،‏‏‏‏ فَيَنْظُرُ إِلَى زَهْرَتِهَا وَمَا فِيهَا،‏‏‏‏ فَيُقَالُ لَهُ:‏‏‏‏ انْظُرْ إِلَى مَا صَرَفَ اللَّهُ عَنْكَ،‏‏‏‏ ثُمَّ يُفْرَجُ لَهُ فُرْجَةٌ قِبَلَ النَّارِ،‏‏‏‏ فَيَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهَا يَحْطِمُ بَعْضُهَا بَعْضًا،‏‏‏‏ فَيُقَالُ لَهُ:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا مَقْعَدُكَ،‏‏‏‏ عَلَى الشَّكِّ كُنْتَ،‏‏‏‏ وَعَلَيْهِ مُتَّ،‏‏‏‏ وَعَلَيْهِ تُبْعَثُ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى .

Urdu Translation

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: مرنے والا قبر میں جاتا ہے، نیک آدمی تو اپنی قبر میں بیٹھ جاتا ہے، نہ کوئی خوف ہوتا ہے نہ دل پریشان ہوتا ہے، اس سے پوچھا جاتا ہے کہ تو کس دین پر تھا؟ تو وہ کہتا ہے: میں اسلام پر تھا، پھر پوچھا جاتا ہے کہ یہ شخص کون ہیں؟ وہ کہتا ہے: یہ محمد اللہ کے رسول ہیں، یہ ہمارے پاس اللہ تعالیٰ کی جانب سے دلیلیں لے کر آئے تو ہم نے ان کی تصدیق کی، پھر اس سے پوچھا جاتا ہے کہ کیا تم نے اللہ تعالیٰ کو دیکھا ہے؟ جواب دیتا ہے کہ اللہ تعالیٰ کو بھلا کون دیکھ سکتا ہے؟ پھر اس کے لیے ایک کھڑکی جہنم کی جانب کھولی جاتی ہے، وہ اس کی شدت اشتعال کو دیکھتا ہے، اس سے کہا جاتا ہے: دیکھ، اللہ تعالیٰ نے تجھ کو اس سے بچا لیا ہے، پھر ایک دوسرا دریچہ جنت کی طرف کھولا جاتا ہے، وہ اس کی تازگی اور لطافت کو دیکھتا ہے، اس سے کہا جاتا ہے کہ یہی تیرا ٹھکانا ہے، اور اس سے کہا جاتا ہے کہ تو یقین پر تھا، یقین پر ہی مرا، اور یقین پر ہی اٹھے گا اگر اللہ تعالیٰ نے چاہا۔ اور برا آدمی اپنی قبر میں پریشان اور گھبرایا ہوا اٹھ بیٹھتا ہے، اس سے کہا جاتا ہے کہ تو کس دین پر تھا؟ تو وہ کہتا ہے: میں نہیں جانتا، پھر پوچھا جاتا ہے کہ یہ شخص کون ہیں؟ جواب دیتا ہے کہ میں نے لوگوں کو کچھ کہتے سنا تو میں نے بھی وہی کہا، اس کے لیے جنت کا ایک دریچہ کھولا جاتا ہے، وہ اس کی لطافت و تازگی کو دیکھتا ہے پھر اس سے کہا جاتا ہے کہ دیکھ! اس سے اللہ تعالیٰ نے تجھے محروم کیا، پھر جہنم کا دریچہ کھولا جاتا ہے، وہ اس کی شدت اور ہولناکی کو دیکھتا ہے، اس سے کہا جاتا ہے کہ یہی تیرا ٹھکانا ہے، تو شک پر تھا، شک پر ہی مرا اور اسی پر تو اٹھایا جائے گا اگر اللہ تعالیٰ نے چاہا ۔

English Translation

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “The dead person ends up in his grave, then the righteous man is made to sit up in his grave with no fear or panic. Then it is said to him: ‘What religion did you follow?’ He said: ‘I was in Islam.’ It is said to him: ‘Who is this man?’ He says: ‘Muhammad the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). He brought us clear signs from Allah and we believed him.’ It is said to him: ‘Have you seen Allah?’ He says: ‘No one is able to see Allah.’ Then a window to Hell is opened for him, and he sees it, parts of it destroying others. Then it is said to him: ‘Look at what Allah has saved you from.’ Then a window to Paradise is opened to him, and he looks at its beauty and what is in it. It is said to him: ‘This is your place.’ And it is said to him: ‘You had certain faith and you died in that state, and in that state you will be resurrected if Allah wills.’ And the evil man is made to sit up in his grave with fear and panic. It is said to him: ‘What religion did you follow?’ He says: ‘I do not know.’ It is said to him: ‘Who is this man?’ He says: ‘I heard the people saying something and I said it too.’ Then a window to Paradise is opened to him, and he looks at its beauty and what is in it. It is said to him: ‘Look at what Allah has diverted away from you.’ Then a window to Hell is opened for him, and he sees it, parts of it destroying others, and it is said to him: ‘This is your place. You were doubtful; in this state you died and in this state you will be resurrected, if Allah wills.’”
