Baab Taharat Aur Ke Ehkaam O Masail

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ نَجِيحٍ وَكَانَ ثِقَةً، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي عِمْرَانَ الْجَوْنِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ جُنْدُبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ كُنَّا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَنَحْنُ فِتْيَانٌ حَزَاوِرَةٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَتَعَلَّمْنَا الْإِيمَانَ قَبْلَ أَنْ نَتَعَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ تَعَلَّمْنَا الْقُرْآنَ فَازْدَدْنَا بِهِ إِيمَانًا .

Urdu Translation

جندب بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   ہم نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ تھے، اور ہم طاقتور نوجوان تھے، ہم نے قرآن سیکھنے سے پہلے ایمان کو سیکھا، پھر ہم نے قرآن سیکھا، تو اس سے ہمارا ایمان اور زیادہ ( بڑھ ) ہو گیا۔

English Translation

It was narrated that Jundub bin 'Abdullah said: We were with the Prophet (ﷺ), and we were strong youths, so we learned faith before we learned Qur'an. Then we learned Qur'an and our faith increased thereby.
