حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ وَإِسْحَاق بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالُوا:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا عَطَاءُ بْنُ السَّائِبِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ شَقِيقٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ جَدَبَ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ السَّمَرَ بَعْدَ الْعِشَاءِ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَال ابْنُ مَاجَهْ:‏‏‏‏ يَعْنِى:‏‏‏‏ زَجَرَنَا عَنْهُ نَهَانَا عَنْهُ.

Urdu Translation

عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے عشاء کے بعد بات چیت پر ہماری مذمت فرمائی یعنی اس پر ہمیں جھڑکا اور ڈانٹا ۱؎۔

English Translation

It was narrated that 'Abdullah bin Mas'ud said: The Messenger of Allah rebuked us for staying up (talking) after the 'Isha'.
