Sunan Ibn Majah 83 - The Book Of The Sunnah

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَا:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيل الْمَخْزُومِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبَّادِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ جَاءَ مُشْرِكُو قُرَيْشٍ يُخَاصِمُونَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْقَدَرِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَنَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ:‏‏‏‏ يَوْمَ يُسْحَبُونَ فِي النَّارِ عَلَى وُجُوهِهِمْ ذُوقُوا مَسَّ سَقَرَ ‏‏‏‏ 48 ‏‏‏‏ إِنَّا كُلَّ شَيْءٍ خَلَقْنَاهُ بِقَدَرٍ ‏‏‏‏ 49 ‏‏‏‏ سورة القمر آية 48-49.

Urdu Translation

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   کہ مشرکین قریش نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آ کر آپ سے تقدیر کے سلسلے میں جھگڑنے لگے، تو یہ آیت کریمہ نازل ہوئی:«يوم يسحبون في النار على وجوههم ذوقوا مس سقر إنا كل شيء خلقناه بقدر» یعنی: جس دن وہ اپنے منہ کے بل آگ میں گھسیٹے جائیں گے، اور ان سے کہا جائے گا: جہنم کی آگ لگنے کے مزے چکھو، بیشک ہم نے ہر چیز کو ایک اندازے پر پیدا کیا ہے ( سورۃ القمر: ۴۹ ) ۱؎۔

English Translation

It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: The idolators and Quraish came and disputed with the Prophet (ﷺ) concerning the Divine Decree. Then the following verse was revealed: 'The Day they will be dragged on their faces into the Fire (it will be said to them): Taste you the touch of Hell! Verily We have created all things with Qadar. (Divine Decree)'
