It was narrated that Ibn Abu Awfa said: “When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) raised his head from Ruku’, he said: ‘Sami’ Allahu liman hamidah, Allahumma, Rabbana lakal-hamd, mil’ as-samawati wa mil’ al- ard wa mil’ ma shi’ta min shay’in ba’d (Allah hears those who praise Him. O Allah! O our Lord, to You is the praise as much as fills the heavens, as much as fills the earth and as much as You will after that).’”

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي أَوْفَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ الرُّكُوعِ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَا وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ مِلْءَ السَّمَوَاتِ وَمِلْءَ الْأَرْضِ وَمِلْءَ مَا شِئْتَ مِنْ شَيْءٍ بَعْدُ .

عبداللہ بن ابی اوفی رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم جب رکوع سے اپنا سر اٹھاتے تو فرماتے: «سمع الله لمن حمده اللهم ربنا لك الحمد ملء السموات وملء الأرض وملء ما شئت من شيء بعد»، اللہ تعالیٰ نے اس شخص کی سن لی جس نے اس کی تعریف کی، اے اللہ! اے ہمارے رب! تیرے لیے آسمانوں اور زمین بھر کر حمد ہے، اور اس کے بعد اس چیز بھر کر جو تو چاہے ۔
