حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ رَافِعٍ الْبَجَلِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ أَيُّوبَ الْغَافِقِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ عَمِّيإِيَاسَ بْنَ عَامِرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ عُقْبَةَ بْنَ عَامِرٍ الْجُهَنِيَّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ:‏‏‏‏ فَسَبِّحْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الْعَظِيمِ سورة الواقعة آية 74، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ اجْعَلُوهَا فِي رُكُوعِكُمْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلَمَّا نَزَلَتْ:‏‏‏‏ سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الأَعْلَى سورة الأعلى آية 1، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ اجْعَلُوهَا فِي سُجُودِكُمْ .

Urdu Translation

عقبہ بن عامر جہنی رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   جب آیت کریمہ: «فسبح باسم ربك العظيم» نازل ہوئی تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ہم سے فرمایا: اسے اپنے رکوع میں کہا کرو ، پھر جب «سبح اسم ربك الأعلى» نازل ہوئی تو ہم سے فرمایا: اسے اپنے سجدے میں کہا کرو ۱؎۔

English Translation

‘Uqbah bin ‘Amir Al-Juhani said: “When the following was revealed: ‘So glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most Great’,[69:52] the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to us: ‘Say this in your Ruku’.’ And when the following was revealed: ‘Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High.’[87:1] the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to us: ‘Say this in your prostrations.
