Speaking at the Aiwan-e-Sadr during a meeting with Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leaders and workers, President Zardari extended Eid greetings and acknowledged the contributions of party members.

Zardari expressed grave concern over the treatment of minorities in India, particularly Muslims and Christians.

He stated that Muslims face discrimination and oppression despite having deep historical, religious, and cultural roots in the subcontinent.

President Zardari emphasised the strength of party workers who have stood firm during difficult times and highlighted the importance of unity and loyalty to the country.

He underlined the urgent need for collective efforts towards national development and prosperity. “We must remain loyal to our homeland and work together for progress,” he said.

The President also pointed out Pakistan’s immense potential for growth and called for focusing on building a strong, self-reliant economy.

He emphasised that agriculture is the backbone of the country’s economy and stressed the need to develop the nation by strengthening the agricultural sector.

By supporting farmers, he said, Pakistan's economic foundation can be significantly improved.
