Heat oil in a pan, fry ½ cup onion, 1/2 cup tomatoes and 4-5 green chilies.
Now add 1 cup boiled white chickpeas, 1cup potatoes, 2tbsp split red lentil and 2 cups water and allow to mix.
Then add 1tsp salt,1tbsp tara garam masala ,1/2 tsp turmeric ,1/2 tsp red chili powder ,1tsp tara chat masala and ¼ tsp nigella seeds.
Allow to cook over low flame to tenderize split red lentil.
Dish out achari channa masala and garnish with 2 tbsp green coriander, 2 tbsp mint and 2 lemons.
Delicious achari channa masala is ready to serve
