Ingredients
  1. 2 ripe bananas
  2. 4 tblsps besan
  3. A pinch of asafetida
  4. ¼ tsp turmeric
  5. 2 tsps red chillies
  6. 1 tsp oil
  7. Salt to taste; water
  8. 1 cup oil for frying
Method
  • Prepare a thin batter by mixing together all the ingredients from besan to water.
  • Skin the bananas, and slice into half-inch thick pieces.
  • Heat oil, dip each slice into the batter, cover completely, and deep fry on a medium fire till light brown. Serve hot with green coriander chutney.
