Ingredients
  1. Boiled Red lentil            1 cup
    Oil ½ cup
    Basmati rice 2 cups
    White cumin 1tsp
    Crushed black pepper ½ tsp
    Medium sized onion 1
    Tara garam masala 1tsp
    Salt 1tsp
    Cinnamon 1
    Lemon  2-3 slices
    Curd ½ cup
    Red chili powder 1tsp
    Ginger garlic paste 2 tsp
    Tomato 1
Method
  • Heat oil in a plan and sauté 1 chopped onion till it turns golden brown.
    Add ½ cup curd,2 tsp ginger garlic paste ,1 tsp white cumin powder,1/2 tsp of crushed black pepper,1tsp salt, 1tsp of tara garam masaala,1 piece of cinnamon and 1tsp of red chili powder and allow to cook.
    Then add 1cup of boiled red lentil and 3-1/2 cups of water and allow boiling.
    When it starts to boil then add soaked rice and cook on low flame.
    When water dries then add 1 chopped tomato, 2-3 slice of lemon and keep on simmer for 6-8 min.
    Delicious brown lentil rice is ready to serve
