Ingredients
  1. Basmati rice 2 cup
    Finely chopped cabbage 2 cup
    Chopped onion 1
    Red chili powder 1/2 tsp
    Mint leaves  few
    Curry leaves  few
    Oil  4 tbsp
    Salt  1 tsp
    tara garam masala 1tbsp
    Mustard seeds  1/4 tsp
    Green chilies  2-3 whole
    Peanuts 1-2 tbsp (OPTIONAL)
    Cumin seeds  1/2 tsp (OPTIONAL)
    Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
Method
  • Wash and soak 2 cups rice for 15 minutes and cook with salt and few drops of oil.
    Wash and cut the cabbage finely and chop the onion finely.
    In a skillet, add oil, all ingredients with onions and saute till they become crunchy.
     Now add 2 cups chopped cabbage  and  saute for a minute by adding the 1/2tsp red chilli powder, ¼ tsp turmeric powder ,1 tsp of salt and 1 tbsp taara garam masala powder.
    Mix this with the cooked rice without mashing the rice and garnish with mint and peanuts
