Ingredients
  1. Beef strips ½ kg
    Yogurt 250 gm
    Crushed red pepper 1 tbsp
    Turmeric 1 tsp
    Onion 2
    Tomatoes 2
    Black pepper ½ tsp
    Cloves ½ tsp
    Bay leaves 2
    Cinnamon 1 stick
    Oil ¼ cup
    Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
    Salt to taste
    Chili powder 1 tsp
Method
  • Heat ¼ cup oil in a pan, add 1 sliced onion and fry till golden brown. Remove and keep aside.
    In the remaining oil add 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste and ½ kg beef strips. Fry well till water dries.
    Add 2 chopped tomatoes, 1 tbsp crushed red pepper, 1 tsp chili powder, ½ tsp whole black pepper, ½ tsp cloves, 2 bay leaves, 1 cinnamon stick and 1 tsp turmeric.
    Fry for 1 – 2 minutes.
    Lower the flame, add 250 gm whipped yogurt and salt to taste. Cover and simmer on low flame for 15 – 20 minutes.
    Remove lid, add 1 sliced onion, chopped coriander leaves and crushed brown onion.
    Fry well on high flame and then dish it out.
