Ingredients
  1. 1/2 cup Split green lentils
  2. 1/2 cup Red lentils
  3. 2 Tomatoes
  4. 12 Button red chilies
  5. 50 gm Dry mango
  6. 1 tsp Turmeric
  7. 1 tsp Salt
  8. 1/2 tsp All spice powder
  9. Ingredients for Tarka
  10. 4 cloves Garlic
  11. 6 Curry leaves
  12. 1/2 cup Oil
  13. 2 tsp Cumin seeds
  14. for garnish Green chilies
  15. for garnish Coriander leaves
Method
  • Wash 1/2 cup split green lentils and 1/2 cup red lentils. Boil with 2 tomatoes, 12 button red chilies, 50 gm dry mango, 1 tsp turmeric, 1 tsp salt and 2 glasses of water till tender. Now mash the lentils well. heat 1/2 cup oil in pan, add 6 curry leaves, 4 cloves of garlic and 2 tsp cumin seeds. Fry well and pour on top of lentils mixture. Garnish with chopped green chilies and coriander leaves. Serve hot.
