Ingredients
  1. 2 quarts mussels 2 large onions
  2. 1-inch fresh root ginger
  3. 2 cloves garlic
  4. 2 green chills
  5. 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  6. ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  7. 3 cloves
  8. Oil for frying
  9. ½ pint (U.S. 1 ¼ cups) water
  10. Salt to taste
Method
  • Wash and scrub the mussels thoroughly. Scrape with a sharp knife to removr beards. Finely slice the onions, ginger, garlic and chillis. Mix with the turmeric, black pepper and cloves. Add to the mussels and mix well. Set aside for 10 minutes.
