Ingredients
  1. 1/2 Kg Chicken pieces
  2. 1/2 Kg Basmati-rice
  3. to taste Salt
  4. 10 nos Black pepper whole
  5. 4 nos Cloves
  6. 2 nos Brown Cardamom
  7. 2 nos Cinnamon sticks
  8. 1/2 Cup Yogurt
  9. 01 tsp Ginger and garlic paste
  10. 1/2 Cup Oil
  11. 3 nos Green chilies
  12. 1 large Size Onions finely sliced
  13. 2 tsp Resins
  14. 1/2 Cup Pineapple chunks
  15. 3 tbsp Mix fruit peels
  16. 1/2 Cup Mix dry fruits
  17. pinches Saffron color
  18. Few Drop Saffron essence
  19. 1/2 Packet National Pulao Masala
Method
  • First soak 1/2 kg basmati rice for 1/2hours. Take 1/2 kg chicken meat 1x 12 pieces.
  • Put medium size cooking pot on the fire, put 1/2cup oil, as the oil get hot add 01 large onion sliced.
  • Saute for couple of minutes. Add whole hot spices in to the onions, saute for few minutes; add the dry fruits, chunk pineapples pieces & mix fruit peels, stir it.
  • Now add the 1/2kg chicken pieces into the pot, stir it for some minutes till the chicken meat changes its color.
  • Now add 01 glass water, salt & green chilies, stir it. Let cook on medium flame till it come to boiling point.
  • Now add the soaked rice into the chicken yakhni.
  • Stir it gently & let cook on medium flame, till the water dries into the pot, cover
  • the pot with lid, let cook on slow flame, till the steam come out.
  • Remove it from the heat.
  • Now take few drops of saffron essence & pinch of Saffron color, mix them together & sprinkle on the Mutanjan Palau.
  • Now take a frying pan, put on the fire, put 02 tbs oil on it, and let the oil get hot, add some dry fruits, chunks of pineapple pieces & mix peels, saute for couple of
  • minutes. Garnish Mutajan Pulao with this mix.

Cooking on Eid is truly hectic. Especially when you don’t know so many good dishes. I liked this Mutanjan Pulao recipe that looks easy to make and all the ingredients are available in market. I will do my grocery shopping soon and will make it on Eid. Thanks for sharing.
