Ingredients
  1. 1) Make the batter of Prawns:
  2. 2) Prawns medium, cleaned 1/2 kg
  3. 3) Corn flour 3 tbsp
  4. 4) Eggs, use whites only, beat well 2
  5. 5) White flour/ chicken stock cubes mix 1 tbsp
  6. 6) Sugar 1 tsp
  7. 7) Oil for deep frying
  8. 8) Salt to taste
  9. For Sauce:
  10. 1) Tomato sauce 1/2 cup
  11. 2) Soya sauce 2 tbsp
  12. 3) White vinegar 2 tbsp
  13. 4) Pineapple juice 2 tbsp
  14. 5) Garlic cloves, peeled and chopped 6
  15. 6) Black pepper, powdered 1/2 tsp
  16. 7) Molasses (gur) 1 tbsp
  17. 8) Corn flour 2 tbsp
  18. 9) Sesame seed oil few drops
  19. 10) Salt to taste
  20. 11) Oil 2 tbsp
  21. For vegetables:
  22. 1) Capsicums, cut in squares 3
  23. 2) Cauliflower, cut into florets 1 medium
  24. 3) Onions, cut in quarters 3 medium
  25. 4) Soya sauce 1 tsp
  26. 5) White vinegar 1 tsp
  27. 6) Sugar 1 tsp
  28. 7) Salt pinch
  29. 9) Oil 1 tbsp
Method
  • 1-Make batter for prawns:
  • 2-To make the batter for prawns, combine egg whites with corn flour, white flour/ chicken stock cube mix, sugar and salt.
  • 3-Dip each prawn in the batter and deep fry till golden.
  • 4-Remove and drain.
  • For Sauce:
  • 1-Mix all ingredients for sauce in a pot, cook on low heat stirring with a wooden spoon till it thickens.
  • 2-Finish with Vegetables:
  • 3-Heat oil in a karahi till hot, add vegetables and stir-fry quickly, add vinegar, Soya sauce, white pepper and sugar.
  • 4-Stir, turn off heat. When ready to serve, combine the prawns and vegetables in the sauce, heat and serve hot.
