  1. 1) Pomfret 2
  2. 2) Salt to taste
  3. 3) Lemon juice 2 tablespoons
  4. 4) Ginger paste 2 teaspoons
  5. 5) Garlic paste 2 teaspoons
  6. 6) Yogurt 3/4 cup
  7. 7) Egg 1
  8. 8) Caraway seeds 1/2 teaspoon
  9. 9) Gram flour 2 tablespoons
  10. 10) Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon
  11. 11) Garam masala 1 teaspoon
  12. 12) Butter 2 tablespoons
Method
  • 1.Gut & Wash the pomfrets.
  • 2.Make incisions on both sides and rub in salt and lemon juice.
  • 3.Set aside for twenty minutes.
  • 4.Grind ginger & garlic to a fine paste.
  • 5.Mix rest of the ingredients except butter.
  • 6.Rub the mixture over the fish and leave to marinate for about one hour in the refrigerator.
  • 7.Thread each pomfret on a skewer and cook it in moderate hot tandoor for about eight to ten minutes.
  • 8.Baste with butter and cook for another three minutes.
  • 9.Serve hot with lemon wedges.
