Ingredients
  1. Rice 1/2kg
    Prawns 1/2kg
    Minced garlic 2tbsp
    Spring onions(onion bulb) 2-3
    Crushed red chilies 1tsp
    Worcestershire sauce 1-2tbsp
    Red curry paste 1tbsp
    Fish sauce 1tbsp
    Basil a pinch
    Lemon juice 2tbsp
    Green chilies 5-6
    Oil 2-3tbsp
    Salt  as required
    Spring onions for garnishing
Method
  • Soak the rice for 2-3 hours. Place rice and water into a medium saucepan. Bring to the boil, cover and reduce to low heat. Cook for until half done. Set aside.
    Heat oil in a large frying pan over high heat. Add 2tbsp minced garlic and fry for 1-2 minutes.
    Now add prawns and cook for 2-3 minutes. Remove and place on an absorbent paper
    In the same oil toss in the chopped spring onions, along with the red curry paste, 5-6 green chilies, 1tbsp Worcestershire sauce ,salt as required 4tbsp lemon juice and 1tbsp fish sauce
    Add the prawns along with a  pinch of basil .Toss in the rice and mix well
    Garnish with chopped spring onions and serve
