Ingredients
  1. • 750 gm. beef
  2. • 2 onions
  3. • 2tbsp white flour
  4. • 1/2 kg milk
  5. • 2 tsp. garlic, chopped
  6. • Few green cardamom
  7. • 1 bay leaf
  8. • 1 cinnamon
  9. • 2 tsp. garam masala
  10. • 1 tsp aniseeds
  11. • 1tsp red chili powder
  12. • Pinch nutmeg
  13. • Pinch mace
  14. • 1/2 tsp. turmeric powder
  15. • 1 tsp. salt
  16. • 1/2 tbsp. garlic paste
  17. • 1/2 tbsp. ginger paste
  18. • 1/4 cup ghee
  19. Ingredients For Garnishing
  20. • 1 fried onion
  21. • 3 chopped green chilies
  22. • 1 bunch coriander, chopped
  23. • Method Of Beef NIhari
Method
  • Heat oil in a large skillet. Fry the chopped onion till it turns dark brown. Remove and place the fried onions on an absorbent tissue paper, to drain the oil. Crush with your hands.
  • In the same skillet add the beef, garam masala powder, ginger garlic paste, salt, red chili powder, bay leaf, a stick of cinnamon and turmeric powder. Fry until the oil forms a separate layer on top.
  • Then add the nutmeg cardamoms, fennel seeds and water. Cook until the beef tenders. Mix the corn flour in milk and pour the mixture in the gravy, stirring continuously. Reduce the flame to a simmer and cook for another 10 minutes.
  • Serve in a dish and garnish with chopped coriander, brown onions and chopped ginger, lastly sprinkle the garam masala on top and serve.

My mother also include some chinese salt in the recipe of beef nihari for the preparation of it and she use some paya meat in this recipe.

Beef nihari take much time to make because the meat of beef look more good when it totally soft that is it i use cooker for the preparation of it.

here is mention only beef meat simple but i think it can make more tasty when you use some bong meat and also some other fatty parts of meat.
