1 cup icing sugar
2 cups flour
100 grams butter
Chilled milk as required
2 cups brown sugar
½ cup cream
100 grams almonds/peanuts/walnuts
1 tsp vanilla essence
2 tbsp honey
2 tbsp butter
4 tbsp water
Cream for garnishing
Ina medium sized combine the following with the help of your hands:100g butter,1 cup sugar and 2 cups flour
Add 1 egg and mix to form a dough. Leave aside for half an hour.
Grease a baking tray and roll out the dough on a floured surface.
Line the baking tray with the dough and bake at 180C for 15 minutes
Remove and place on a wire rack to cool
For the filling, mix 2 cups of brown sugar in 4tbsp of water, heat to form a thick syrup.
Add 2tbsp honey, 1tsp vanilla essence and 2 cups cream.
Lastly add 100g chopped almonds, walnuts and peanuts. Fold to mix and pour into the baked crust,
Level out to even the surface and serve.
