1: Samsung
Samsung Electric Industries was founded back in 1969 and is headquartered in
Suwon, South Korea. Toady Samsung Electronics is manufacturing everything from
tvs to semiconductors. Samsung launched its first Android smartphone back in
2009 and can be recognized with the release of the first Android tablet in 2010.
The brand is among the biggest players in the market not only in Pakistan but is
also equally popular all the world. Samsung recently developed devices running
Tizen OS, as a substitute to its Android-based smartphones. Samsung’s hottest
smartphone launch is the Galaxy J3 Prime. The device was released in April 2017.
The phone comes with a 5.00-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720
pixels by 1280 pixels. Also their flagship, the new Galaxy S8 is being labeled
as the best smartphone device of the year 2017.
2: Apple iphone
Apple is an American cosmopolitan tech company with its headquarters in
Cupertino, California. Apple develops, designs and sells user electronics,
mainframe software, and online services. Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Ronald
Wayne founded Apple on April 1976 to program and sell PCs. It was originally
incorporated as Apple Computer, Inc. in January 1977, but was later renamed as
Apple Inc. In the beginning of 2007, Apple shifted its focus towards
manufacturing consumer electronics. Apple was joined by the Dow Jones Industrial
Average in March 2015. Currently, Apple is the world’s biggest information
technology brand by revenue, the world’s biggest tech company as per total
assets. Apple is also world’s second-leading mobile phone producer, by volume,
after Samsung. The brand’s hardware products include a wide variety of products
like the iPad tablet, the Mac PC, the iPod and the Apple smartwatch but the most
popular are the iPhone smartphone. The iPhone is one of the most demanded and
popularly accepted smartphones and has become a status symbol in Pakistan. Their
flagship, the new iPhone 8 has been widely popular with sales going through the
roof, has made quite an impact on the
3: Huawei
Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. is a Chinese global network and telecommunication
services and Production Company. It is situated in Shenzhen, Guangdong. Having
overtaken Ericsson in 2012, it is now the biggest telecommunications equipment
producer on the globe.
Huawei was established in 1987 by Ren Zhengfei, an ex-engineer from the People’s
Liberation Army. At the time of its organisation, Huawei concentrated mainly on
producing phone switches, but has since enlarged its venture and now deals in
forming telecommunications networks, offering functional and advisory services
and devices to enterprises and manufacturing communications devices for the
consumer market. Huawei is the third-largest mobile brand in Pakistan having 21
R&D institutions all over the world. The Huawei P10 plus and Huawei Nexus 6P are
some of its crown jewels and leading devices.
4: Qmobile
QMobile is a Karachi based user electronics brand which advertises smartphones
in Pakistan. On the basis of sales, Q is the largest smartphone company in
Pakistan with an approximation of one million phones sold per month. QMobile was
established in 2009. As the first local mobile phone brand to penetrate an
inundated market, it has infiltrated quite deeply. QMobile has a reputation for
their low and mid-ranged smart and mobile phone devices. The devices range of
QMobile includes some tablets and a wide range of phones including a touchscreen,
QWERTY, WiFi all operating Android OS. A windows phone with the name “QMobile
W1” was launched in 2015. Recently, QMobile launched its first Android One
smartphone in the Pakistani market. QMobile A1 is now publicly accessible in
Pakistan under Android One smartphone program.
5: Oppo
OPPO Electronics Corp. commonly known as OPPO is a Chinese electronics
production company based in Dongguan, Guangdong. It is globally famous for its
Blu-ray players, headphones and amplifiers but smartphones are its latest and
major product line. Internationally established in 2001 and registered in 2004,
Oppo has been successfully operating in the global market. After cementing its
spots in the international markets such as China, Myanmar, and the Philippines,
the company is now making an impact in the Pakistani smartphone market. OPPO
Mobiles has now become the camera phone giant, targeting young audience
specially selfie lovers and picture enthusiasts. The Oppo F1 plus Selfie Expert
is their crown jewel.
