Blessings of Ramadhan

Ramadhan is the most sacred, revered and highly important month in Islam. It is month of Allah Almighty’s blessings, countless rewards, bounties and returns. It is the month of sacrifice, piety, charity, sharing resources with those who do not have distribution of wealth, prayers, traweehs and strengthening ones believe in Almighty Allah. During the period of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) special arrangements were done for create awareness about the dignity and virtue of Ramadhan.

Hazrat Salman (May Allah be pleased with him) narrates , “ On the last day of the month Shaban the Rasul of Allah ( Sallallahu alahi wassalam) addressed us and said, “ O people there comes upon you a now a great month , a most blessed month , in which lies a night better than one thousand months. It is the month in which Allah (Subhana hu Taala) has made it compulsory that fasting should be observed by day; and He had made the Traweeh at night as Sunnah”.

Ramadhan is the month of sacrifice. One who observes fast can feel the pain of suffering and poor ones. Whoever feeds a fasting person in order to break the fast (at sunset) , for him there shall be forgiveness of Allah against his sins freedom from the fire of hell, and for him shall be the sane reward as for him( whom he fed) , without that person’s reward being decreased in the least. The companion of Prophet (Sallalahu Alahai wassalam) said, “O Rasul ullah (Sallalahu Alahai wassalam) not all of us possess the means whereby we can whereby we can provide enough for fasting person to breakfast. The Rasul of Allah replied, “Allah taala grants the same him who gives a fasting person a single date or a drink of water or a sip of milk to break the fast.

The first part of this sacred and revered month is blessings of Allah, the middle of its give forgiveness and the last part of which brings freedom from hell. In this month one has to do more things to please Almighty Allah, to increase the quantity of Zikr, reciting Holy Quran and seek Jannah (paradise) Allah’s protection from hell. Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) narrates that Rasuluulah (Sallahu Alahi Wassalam) said; My ummah has been given five special things that were not given to any one before them. The smell from the mouth of fasting Muslim is sweater for Allah Almighty than the pleasant smell of musk. The fish in the sea seek forgiveness on their behalf until they breakfast. Allah Taala prepares and decorates special jannah every day and says to it: The time is near when my faithful shall put away the load of the world and come to you. In this month the rebellious shayatin are chained, so as not to cause those evils which they normally do during months other than Ramadhan. On the last night of Ramadhan the fasting Muslims are forgiven. These five gifts were not granted people before Islam.

This month is sure a way and source for Muslims to get salvation. Hazrat Kaab bin Ujrah ( May May Allah be pleased with him) relates that Rasullullah ( Sallahu Alahi Wassalam ) said ; Come near to the member and we came near the member; When he climbed the first step of the member , he said” Ameen” and when he climbed the second step of the member again he said” Ameen” the same act he repeated when he climbed the third step. When he came down we said ,O Rasul ullah ( Sallahu Alahi Wassalam ) we heard from you today something which we never heard before. He said , when I climbed the first step, the angel Jibrail appeared before me and said; Destruction to him who found the blessed month of Ramadhan and let it pass by without gaining forgiveness. Upon that I said: Ameen’. When I climbed the second step , he said , Destruction to before whom thy name is taken and he does not recite Darood e pak(seeking blessing for Prophet Muhammad ( Peace be upon him ) from Allah , I replied , “ Ameen”. When I climbed the third step he said, destruction unto him in whose lifetime his parents or either one of them reaches old age, and (through failure to serve them) he is not allow to enter Jannah. In this Hadith, it appears that Jibrail ( May Allah bless him) gave expression to curse , upon which Rasulullah ( Sallalahu Alahai wassalam) said Ameen. This curse is expressed by the grand angel and Ameen by the most revered and virtuous Prophet Muhammad (Sallalahu Alahhai wassalam). So every Muslim must do every effort to win the will of Almighty Allah in the Month of Ramadhan and recite the Drood e Pak when name of prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him ) was taken before them.
