China developed astonishingly and made a miracle by pulling 800 million people out of poverty. China has now a significant place in the world economy, power game and no country or region can ignore it. It is rightly said that “China is the future of the World”. The speedy, steady and continuous progress of China was made possible by its sincere, visionary, far sighted leadership. The whole nation sacrificed, shared their resources with justice, all including top leadership sacrificed for their vision and achieving goals and achieved their targets successfully. Education, Science and Technology was at the top of their priorities.

According to the World Intellectual Property Indicators, China received 1.54 million patent applications in 2018, representing nearly half of the patent applications worldwide, more than double the USA. China ranks first globally in the important indicators including patents, utility models, trademarks, industrial designs, and creative goods. Chinese companies Huawei and ZTE were the top 2 filers of international patents in 2017. Chinese won noble prize in Physics four times, the noble prize in Chemistry, in Physiology or medicine respectively. China is one of the three countries with independent spaceflight capability. In 2009, China graduated over 10,000 Ph.Ds. engineers, and more than 500,000 science graduates. China also became the world’s largest publisher of scientific papers since 2016. Chinese companies such as Huawei, Xiaomi and Lenovo have become world’s leaders in telecommunications, consumers’ electronics and personal computing. Chinese supercomputers are consistently among the world’s most powerful one. China has been the world’s largest market for Industrial Robots since 2013 and accounts 45% of the newly installed robots in 2021.

The Chinese space programme is one of the world’s most active. In 1970 China launched its first satellite, and in 2003 it became the first country in Asia and the third in the world to independently send humans into space , with Yang Liwei’s spaceflight abroad Shenzhou 5, as of 2022 fourteen Chinese nationals have journeyed into space, including two women. In 2011, China launched its first space station test bed, Tiangong 1. In 2021 China became the second nation in history to independently a rover (Zhurong) on Mars, jining the United States. China is building its own space station, Tiangong in low earth orbit. China has world’s largest bullet train network, it has world’s largest power plant, the largest energy generation capacity in the world, Belt and Road Initiative a larger global infrastructure building initiative. China has over 3,000 universities, over 40 million students. As of 2021 China had the world’s second highest number of top universities (the highest in Asia and Oceania region). There are many worlds’ top ranking universities in China. It is clear evident that China’s advancement in education, science and technology paved the way for its progress, prosperity, development and economic growth. China is a model country for Pakistan and there is dire need that Pakistan should keep education, science, technology on its top priorities without which its economic independent would not be possible. Pakistan should move from aid recipient to donation giving nation.
