A Story in Silence
(Dr. Shakira Nandini, Karachi)
That evening felt special. I came home early and found you sitting in the chair, as if lost in your own world. Standing by the door, I felt my heartbeat quicken, but your calm presence pulled me in. You sat there, head leaned back, eyes closed, completely unaware that I was there.
Then suddenly, your eyes opened, and our gazes met. For a few moments, time seemed to stop, and in that silence, words were spoken without sound. Slowly, I slipped off my shirt and knelt down by your side. Our eyes locked, as though there was a deep connection between us.
The quiet smile on your face and the intensity in my eyes conveyed everything. You gently leaned forward and touched my shoulder, and in that touch, waves of unspoken feelings flowed. My hands met yours, as if hinting at the unity of our souls. That moment, without a single word, revealed the reality of our bond.
In that silence lay the story of our love, without promises, yet full of emotions.
