Breakup
(Dr. Shakira Nandini, Karachi)
This is the tale of my heart's defeat. I found myself in the pathways of love, but that love turned into a deception. My love took great advantage of my body, as if I were merely an object, a beautiful moment that passed through his life.
Our love began like a beautiful dream. I opened the doors of my heart, pouring my soul into him. But as time passed, I realized that he did not value my emotions. I was the spark in his life, yet he chose to use me instead of embracing me in his world.
My love admired the beauty of my body, but there was no light of love for me in his eyes. I intertwined my dreams with his, only to find that he stealthily stole my aspirations. My heart's desires went unacknowledged, and he only craved my physical presence.
Now I understand that the truth of love is not merely about physical fulfillment; there must also be a spiritual connection. When I felt his betrayal, my heart decided that I had to end this relationship. It was a painful decision, but my heart's freedom was far more important than that pain.
Now, I am moving towards new beginnings, like a new dawn. I know that my body belongs to me, and I should value it. In love stories, failures also have a place, and I am embracing my story as a source of strength. Love is never just about taking advantage of the body; it requires the heart and soul as well.
