Reason, Atheism, and Religion
Atheism is against reason because reason keeps digging up its own foundations and building its own new building. Today's reason will change its concept tomorrow. Therefore, arguing for atheism on the basis of reason is against reason. In the light of my imperfect knowledge and experience, I have pondered a lot on rational and scientific foundations in the context of atheism and religion and studied many arguments, studied the thoughts of scientists, philosophers and religious scholars, listened to debates and speeches, compared everything in the light of the Holy Quran, published articles, presented the essence of my work in TV talk shows. By the grace of Allah, all the arguments and proofs brought me closer to Allah. The theories of philosophy have been invalidated by science and the theories of science itself have been invalidated by science. And it is being done... The limitations of the senses and instruments have been deceiving the mind. After solving one problem about the universe with reason, science gets entangled in many more unsolvable problems and the problem, instead of being solved, grows. That is, all knowledge throughout history has been partial, on the basis of which no final decision can be made about universe.
A recent example of this is the calculation in astronomy that based on the observations of the Hubble telescope that created a complete theory of the Big Bang occurring 13.8 billion years ago, and then after the James Webb telescope observed the unexpected structure of a distant galaxy, all the calculations, computer simulations, etc. went wrong... Now science is confused as to whether the Big Bang even happened or maybe it happened 26 billion years ago! Now a new theory will be created and perhaps after some time that too will be rejected.
Many more such examples have come to light in the last century, about which I have been writing in detail in my previous articles. From the time of Plato and Aristotle to the present day, man has believed that the unsolved mystery of universe has now been solved, but the future of every era has been telling a different story. In our own time, such diverse and contradictory scientific observations are telling the same story while we are still alive. We cannot even imagine what will be known after five hundred, a thousand years from now. It is just like a scientist like Newton, in his time, i.e. the 17th century, could not even imagine such mind-boggling things as an engine-powered car, flying ships, electric light bulbs and radio, TV, and computers! If Newton were alive today, he would be in such a talismanic place in which thousands of questions would disturb him at every step. ... The progress of science would seem like magic to him.
Sayyid Qutb Sahib has written beautifully in his commentary on Surah At-Tur verse 11:
“Any deep examination will show that all people's ideas and beliefs are fictions, but even the great philosophies, the great philosophical concepts of human history that humans are proud of, seem like child's play. The facts that are explained with great simplicity, power, clarity and seriousness in the Islamic concept of life and beliefs, and especially those things that are explained in the Quran, are all in harmony with nature and they relate with nature without any difficulty because the Quran's study of nature is very realistic. It also gives a beautiful interpretation of the wonder of the universe. According to this interpretation, its relationship with the Creator of the universe is also explained. All these concepts and interpretations are also realistic. When I read the thoughts of philosophers, I see the

thoughts of great philosophers that they were exhausted in solving the wonder of this universe and they could not interpret it correctly nor could they connect the different facts of the universe. Their thoughts seem like the way a small child tries to solve a difficult mathematical problem. This is because I had before me a Quranic solution to this problem that was clear, simple, natural and pleasant, without any distortion, complexity or dogma. The Quran's interpretation of this universe is the same as the way a person interprets the machinery he has built. As for philosophers, they take some partial facts from this universe and apply them to the whole, therefore they fail miserably and their concepts become subject to contradictions. When a person reads the ideas of great philosophers, anxiety arises in the concepts of man in all the problems. In fact, these concepts are human efforts to solve the problem of the universe and after that when a person contemplates the Quranic verses that are on this subject, light gradually enters his mind. His stability returns to him. He sees that everything in the universe is correctly placed in its place. Everything is in its place. Every reality is sitting in its place and there is no disturbance in anything. Man immediately feels that he has reached the truth. He is blessed with peace and tranquility. His heart is at peace and stability. The intellect is satisfied. All kinds of confusions are removed. All problems are solved because he has reached a clear truth.”
Scientific research on an object changes the definition of an object over time. The temporary rational differences in the forms of this object do not affect its reality, that is, the reality remains beyond our derived concept. For example, a star, we now know that every star is a sun. While in earlier times stars were considered as a separate object, now it has been discovered through telescopes that every star is a sun, even some objects that look like stars are not suns but galaxies consisting of billions of suns. Another example is the cause of the disease and its cure, after discovery of germ or virus through a microscope, a revolutionary change occurred in the treatment method. There are a number of more examples like these. Scientific knowledge, Compared to the vastness of the universe, is like taking a spoonful of water from the ocean and deciding that there are no whales in the ocean.

The deeds of today's societies that believe in Allah are the argument for atheism. If we show them an ideal Islamic society, then there will be no need for any argument. Our actions are presented as evidence in rejecting religion. we, you Muslims, are the made up proof of every defect.
