Few Things we Forget
(Najamuddin Ghanghro, Karachi (original from Larkana))
We forget the present, worry
about the future, and enjoy neither the present nor the future.
We forget our health to make wealth, and then lose the wealth to restore our
health.
We forget that a rich person is not the one who has the most, but the one who
needs the least.
We forget that it takes a few seconds to open deep wounds in people we love, and
that it takes years to heal them.
We forget that money can buy everything but happiness.
We forget that two people can look at the same thing and see it completely
different.
We forget that a true friend is the one who knows all our shortcomings and still
loves us.
We forget that the most valuable thing in our lives is not what we have, but who
we have.
We forget that there are people who love us dearly, but simply do not know how
to express or show their feelings.
We forget that it is not always enough that others forgive us, but that we
forgive ourselves.
We forget that only by practicing forgiveness, can we learn to forgive.
We forget that we live as if we will never die, and then die as if we had never
lived.
If we really wish to find true happiness, let’s not forget, that today is all
that matters and remember to live, love and find time to be with the ones we
love TODAY, as if there is indeed, no TOMORROW.
