How long will we live with
loadshedding?? will the next government be able able to fix the problem during
its terms?
People are adjusting to what seems to be permanent power load shedding in the
summer and gas shortages in the winter. Although the affluent evade the pitfalls
of the energy crisis, low income households and some sectors of industry are
suffering tremendously.
Meanwhile,parties have made sweeping promises regarding resolutions to the
electricity crisis. The crisis is set to deepen as summer approaches, when a
spike in demand is expected.
“With each passing day of summer, unannounced load shedding makes our routines
and lives tougher,”
Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) has alerted citizens about the inevitable
increase in the duration of load shedding in the coming week across all
residential and commercial localities of the metropolis. The utility informed
consumers that14 hours a day outages is a possibility.
i request the government to take immediate action and solve this problem.
