Islamic Manners of Eating and Drinking

 Every human being is bound to eat and drink to maintain his healthful life.It is a mandatory social activity.Eating is repeated at least three times daily.Hence eating manners are very essential for us.

Whether we eat with family, with guests, with friends or in any function,we must do the eating properly.There are different attiquets and manners of eating.Islam teaches us in Holy Quran that(Qoloo washraboo walaa tusrefoo, innahoo laa yohibbulmusrefeen)Eat, drink but not more than your need as Allah does not like those who are spendthrift.
Islam teaches us the following manners which we must follow.

1. Wash hands up to wrist before eating.
2, Recite (Bismillah hirrahma nirrah heem), I start with the name of Allah ,who is very kind and merciful.
3. Eat with write hand.
4.If eat with hand, use only three fingers.
5 Take small bites.
6 .Chew the food properly.
7. Eat from in front of you.
8.Never wipe off your fingers with loaf.
9.Never find fault in meal.
10. Never eat too hot or burnt meal.
11. Do not laugh loudly or talk too much while eating meal.
12, Do not smell meal it looks awkward and is disliked by others.
13. Always take meal by sitting not by standing or walking.
14. Do not leave food in your plate.
15.In the end recite Doa(Alhamdo lillahillazee ataamaanaa wa saqaanaa wa jalnaa muslimeen.
