Peace of heart is one of the
greatest blessings of this world. Do you know where does heart find peace and
comfort??? Indeed remembrance of Allah is the purifying soap for the heart and
there is no deed that gives such pleasure to the heart, or has greater reward,
than this.
It is actually your connections with the Almighty that keep you away from the
depressing materialistic thoughts and never let clouds of fear and sorrow
prevail on your mind and heart. The more stronger your connections with the
Creator, the more your heart will be contented and blissful Insha’Allah!
Let’s see what Allah (swt) says in Quran about establishing strong connections
with Him through His remembrance.
“Therefore remember Me, and I will remember you…” [Al-Qur’an 2: 152]
“O you who believe! Fear Allah and keep your duty to Him. And let every person
look to what he has sent forth for tomorrow, and fear ALLAH .Verily, Allah is
All-Aware of what you do. And be not like those who forgot Allah (i.e. became
disobedient to Allah) and He caused them to forget their own selves, (let them
to forget to do righteous deeds). Those are the Faasiqoon (rebellious, defiantly
disobedient to Allah).” [Al-Qur’an 59:18-19]
“Also Apostle of Allah (PBUH) said: “Shall I not tell you the most in goodness
of your deeds, the nicest to Your Owner, the highest in your ranks, better for
you than spending gold and silver, and better for you than meeting your enemy
whereupon you strike their necks and they strike your necks?” They said “Yes O’
Messenger of Allah.” He said: “Remembrance of Allah.” [Reported by At-Tirmithi,
Al-Bukhari, Ibn Majah, and Al-Hakim]
“Those who bow down to ALLAH, they can stand in front of anyone”
Now let’s take a look on the situation of those who loosen their connections
with Allah.
“[They are] dead, lifeless, and they know not when they will be raised up.”
[Al-Qur’an 16: 21]
“Do you know of any that is similar to Him! [There is nothing like unto Him and
He is the All-Hearer, the All-Seer].” [Al-Qur’an 19: 65]
So if some worldly matters drive you away from Allah, you can always come back.
Allah welcomes those who remember Him with faith and sincerity. To the degree
that you remember Allah and stay connected with Him, your heart will be calm and
cheerful. His remembrance carries with it the meaning of total reliance upon
Him, of turning to Him for aid, of having good hopes from Him, and of waiting
for victory from Him. Truly, He is near when supplicated, hears when called and
answers when invoked. So humble yourself before Him and ask Him sincerely.
Repeat His wonderful blessed name, and mention Him as being alone worthy of
worship. Praise him, supplicate to Him, and seek forgiveness from Him and above
all never let shaitan engage you deeply in worldly things and break your
connection with Allah.
