The word "Fire" describes many
meaning in our mind. Its a meaning of "liveliness of imagination or fancy"
, "Ardor of passion, whether love or hate", or anything which destroy.
This small word has many thoughts & meanings but these meanings are
different for different intellect of people. For a common man, its used for cook
food & keep them warm during long winter months. For a scientist, its a
collection of many gasses & its flame is a collection of many colors or
radiations. Moreover, its appearance & presence is a question of
suspicious for them. And for a poet, fire is a symbol of
"life,warmth,survival & energy". So we can say that the opinion about the
fire is always different & strange for people. In the same way the meaning
of fire has different symbols in the different categories of life. When we
analyzed the fire in sense of dreams, it has different predictions. If we have a
problem in our relation & at that time when we had a dream of fire then
according to interpreters fire is a symbol of "transformation" & it shows
disturbance between your relation. Similarly in the eyes of astrologers
the fire signs have the desire for freedom. Actually the air signs have
this characteristics as well, but whereas the air signs tend to go for
freedom of expression, thought & movement, the fire sign go for freedom of
action, the power to do as they wish. In ancient times, people didn't know how
to cook food without fire but when they were aware of the importance & use
of fire then they tried it in a useful manners. In our Islam, for many times,
the mention of fire is related to "Hell". According to our Quran, those
people who denied the rules & regulations of God & commit mistakes with their
own will, they would get punish in the shape of fire of hell. Before
Islam, pagans were worshipped the fire. Fire has been used in religions rites &
symbolism for hundreds of years; with the main image of smoke from the fire
disperses into the Heavens. Fire is one of the four classical elements
:air ,earth, fire & water as well as one of the fire in the chinees
elements. Fire is universally associated with the Sun & Light, but also with the
health & home. There is something utterly fascinating & engaging about a
structure of fire. Of course, there is the risk, the human element, the loss of
property & possibly even life, but there is also something much deeper, much
more primal. Fire is a force of nature. Fire is an overwhelming
destructive power.
But fire is also beautiful & graceful in its relentless consumption_ __it dances
& flickers, it changes color, it gives off light & creates vacilating &
undulating shadows that seem to have a life of their own. It is also a
relentless, voracious monster. Fire swallows things whole & shits them out black
& carbonized. Fire moves in perfectly logical patterns but is still utterly
unpredictable. Think of the things we associate with fire ____the dragon, the
salamander etc. All reflect the dichotomy____destruction & rebirth, beauty &
brutality, salvation & damnation____that we find not only in fire but in the
human spirit itself. Fire is noy only the thing which burns things to
ashes but its also the fire of hate, anguish, anger & jealousy which burns
the hearts of people & grown up the tree of poison whose fruits are very
poisonous for our other relations. So we can say that fire has a shape of flame
& in humans it has a shape of emotions. In the field of education, it
symbolizes the light of "Knowledge". One ray of light remove the darkness,
similarly one ray of education remove all the ignorance & darkness from
the mind of humans. In addition light is the symbol of truth that dispels the
darkness of ignorance. As a flame can pass from one candle to another, so
too can truth be passed. For many, it is related to the Sun & the powers
of transformation & purification. Its basic movement is upward rather than
downward like water. We all enjoy watching fire explode in fireworks
during holidays & more. If fire gives us the enjoyment, it can be destructive &
dangerous for us. Its a threat to humans, animals & nature. It can destroy
acres in a matter of minutes & it is not a thing that we can compete with. From
religion to our daily lives, fire is always present. So we have to save
ourselves from the fire. We have facility of fire through many resources.
We can used it in the shape of coal & We can used it through the woods. In
towns we can see the use of woods for cooking & the use of coal to protect
themselves from the winter. To conclude, the fire has many varities & we can
imagine its presence in many ways & for different uses. We have the sign of fire
in our Quran & it personified the fire of Hell. We can read it in detail
in Melton's "Paradise Lost" in which Satan was punished by God for his
disobedience & thrown into the Hell with his followers. According to ALLAH
:"Those people who live life according to the rules of God will blessed &
got the place in Jannat but those who are choose the path of disobedience
will punished by God & got the place in Jahannum"In short, there are many
symbols about the fire & personified by many people. Fire has a good as well as
bad affects on humans. But its a very important need for man. Only one thing is
that which we can used in a better way.
