A Short Discussion On Towheed

Towheed is the basic Islamic belief without which a person cannot be declared a Muslim whether how much pious he/she is . Towheed is the doctrine of singleness of God. It is that pillar at which the whole building of islam has been built. All of the Prophets of Allah preached the oneness of Allah. The holy Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.W) emphasized also this belief in Makkah for about thirteen years. Quran says “Say He is Allah the one. Allah is eternal and absolute. None is born of him nor is he born. And there is none like him”.
Towheed consists of three parts.
1. Allah is one is existence .
2. He has no partner in his existence.
3. He is alone the worthy of worship.

One who don’t admit even one of the above part is considered is non believer & such kind of action of associating partner with Allah is called “Shirk”. Which is unpardonable crime & Allah will never forgive him/her. Quran says “Verily Allah will not pardon those who associate a partner with him apart from him he will pardon all others. Who ascribe partners to Allah has gone for estroy”.

There are two kinds of shirk according to the religious scholars.
(a) Mojor Shirk :- This kind include worship to shrines, stones, idols, fire etc. It is the ascribing to someone other than Allah. Some Thing that belong to Allah.
(b) Minor Shirk:- It includes the doing of good deeds for showing to the people for example : charity, prayers, fasting etc. for the purpose that people call him/her good person. It is called “Riya”. Swearing on someone else someone else or something else than God is also minor “Shirk”

Towheed And Great People: Muhammad (PBUH) says: “I seek refuge (with you) by your izzat none has the right to be worshipped you who does not die while the Jinns & Human beings die”
Hazrat Ali (R.A) says: “To doubt is disbelief in faith”

Imam Malik writes about the existence and oneness of God. ” I see a cow , a silk worm & a honey bee all eat the same leaf but they are produce different products, this proof to me that there is a creator who has the power to do so”
