With the increasing power and popularity of china also increased the popularity of Chinese festivals all over the world, many nations knows how Chinese people celebrate their New Year and how New Year is important in the life of Chinese’s people and what they do on New Year.

Chinese New Year is an important Chinese festival celebrated at the turn of the Chinese calendar. In China, it is also known as the Spring Festival, According to Chinese astrology, each year (starting from Chinese New Year) is associated with an animal signs, occurring in a 12-year cycle. For example 2015 is a year of the Goat. The 12 zodiac animals are: Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, and Pig.

The Chinese calendar is a lunisolar calendar which arranges the year, month and day number upon the astronomical date. It is used for traditional activities in China and overseas Chinese communities. On Chinese’s New Year you can find world biggest fireworks in the whole china.

Chinese new year become international festival everywhere in the world Chinese New Year is celebrating. Chinese New year is also being celebrated in Pakistan. In Islamabad Pakistan National Council of Arts where Chinese Ambassador Sun Weidong and his wife welcomed President of Pakistan and his wife in ceremony of Chinese New Year. Chinese cultural troupes performed at the ceremony.

Mr. Sun said that traditionally Chinese people returned to their native places in the beginning of the new year but this was for the first time that Chinese New Year celebrations were being held in Pakistan as people of China considered Pakistan as their second home and Pakistani nation as their family.
