How Khawarij work their work in!
The death of 'Uthmaan.
Speaker
-Abdul-Wadood -
[al-Madeenah university Graduate]
And one of the things, which led to this (terrorism and khuruj)
A person doesn't just start praying and then blows himself up the day after;
there are some factors before these steps rights?
They say Brainwashing.. huh?
The scholar’s usually say, it rhymes and it's easy:
1. Tanfeer,
2. Takfeer,
3. Tafjeer.
1. Tanfeer means to frighten, One starts with scaremongering, with these youths.
And one starts with making them hate the Muslim rulers...
"All the kings are unjust
They oppress the people
They take our money
They do this and that.."
You can come in, there's room here.
(i.e. people standing by the door)
That's how one starts...
One starts with scaremongering
"They imprison people who are good,
They torture people who are good,
They take our money,
Look at youtube, he shakes hands with George bush,
He drinks alcohol."
He parties and drinks beer."
I don't know what they come up with...
Just to build up hatred in the heart of the person, tayyib...
And the same thing against the scholars.
He (the khariji) starts to build up hatred towards the scholars
you can't trust Ibn Baaz (رحمہ اللہ), you can't trust Ibn 'Uthaymeen (رحمہ
اللہ), al-Albaani... (رحمہ اللہ)
"They worked for the king
They didn’t tell the truth
They were forced to write some Fataawa"
They come with things like these so that you lose the reliance towards the
'Ulama'
And Wallaahe I actually don't want to say this but when I became a Muslim I used
to be with this group.
Takfeeriyyoon, those who think this (khuruj, terrorism etc) is OK. The most
extreme group in Sweden.
And this is exactly what they did, they started to build up a hatred, not only
towards the rulers, but [also] towards the 'Ulama'.
Until you couldn't rely upon the 'Ulama...
Ibn Baz (رحمہ اللہ), you can't trust him, 'Uthaymin (رحمہ اللہ), al-Albaani
(رحمہ اللہ) he's a Murjee'. and so on.
(wal ayaazu billah)
You can't trust the scholars.
Or they (the scholars) don't understand Jihad.
"I take Jihad from Bin Laadin and some scholars and not these people..."
And this is False!
As al-albaani (رحمہ اللہ) said;
"I and Ibn Baaz (رحمہ اللہ) may not be able to carry weapons, but we do
understand Jihaad."
Anyway, they start with this.
Building up a hatred.
And what comes after the hate?
1. Tanfeer
2. takfeer
You come to level 2:
They are Kuffaar, not Muslims!
Kaafir: Allowed to kill
They have this thing, a chain reaction.
They say;
The one who doesn't make takfeer upon a Kaafir, he is a kaafir.
They say for example, the king in Saudi Arabia, he is a kaafir.
- And there is a principle in Islam which says that the one who doesn't make
takfeer upon a Kaafir, becomes a kaafir -
Okay?
So what it means is that all of those in Saudi Arabia, the military, the police
force, they say that
"They have worked for a kaafir, so they are also Kuffaar.."
"They don't make takfeer on him so they are also kuffaar."
Then it's also halaal to kill them [the muslims]."
And this is what they started with...
Some years ago, they blew up bombs in Riyaadh and killed Muslims.
Wallaahee, even in Makkah and Madeenah!
Some years ago, these khawaarij, in Makkah and Madeenah!
In Makkah, it's haraam to break a branch.
To kill a cat.
They blow up bombs in Makkah, and say;
"Jihaad Fisabilillah"
So they have gone too far wallahee, too far!
And it is true that one has to say that somebody is a kaafir when he is, it's
true...
But this is regarding a clear cut example, such as the pope, is there anybody
who doubts that he is a kaafir??
Is there anybody who says he is a Muslim? He's a kaafir, right?
He's a Christian.
The one who says "No he is a Muslim he's our brother", we say to him; "No you do
not believe in the Qur'an and the Sunnah...
Where Allaah says that the Jews and Christians are kuffaar, do you understand?"
One explains to him and if the person doesn't accept he's a kaafir.
Okay?
This is what is meant, not that you come to your little conclusion, that this
king is a kaafir because he shakes hands with George Bush or what not.
That’s not how it works.
To say that somebody is a kaafir is very difficult in Islam, it goes back to the
scholars, and it’s like a fatwa.
The person [who does kufr] can sometimes have excuses, right?
Perhaps they are ignorant; they can be forced to do some things.
So one has to go back to the truth, to the Qur'an and Sunnah, and to the
scholars and rely upon them.
Tanfeer,
Takfeer,
Tafjeer
3. Tafjeer.
When you hate everything and everybody...
When you do takfeer on everything and everybody...
khalaas (finish) the only left is to blow yourself up in the air...
(Students laughing)
When you reached these three levels.
It doesn't start with that you love everything and everybody and want good for
them and then go and blow yourself up, rather, they build up a hatred!
And that one doesn't have reliance towards the scholars.
Unfortunately.
So they have these three ways in luring the people.
So one should stay away from things like these, talking badly about the rulers
and the 'Ulama', this is not something which will benefit the Muslims.
Na'am there are rulers who are not good!
There are rulers who are not good and we do not support the things they do.
Tayyib, but...
to start killing, and so on, is not allowed. Do you understand?
These are two different things. We do not revolt as long as they aren't kuffaar
and even if they are, then one has to have the capacity for rebellion.
That 20-30 people go and blow up some bombs doesn't lead to anything good.
Sometimes One has to have patience until a better comes.
Allaah says in al-qur'an:
( وَكَذَٰلِكَ نُوَلِّي بَعْضَ الظَّالِمِينَ بَعْضًا بِمَا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ
﴿١٢٩﴾)
Interpretation of the meaning: in this way, we put oppressive rulers over an
oppressive people, as a punishment for their deeds.1
(surah 6 ayah 129)
So these bad rulers we have, is a punishment from Allaah because we are bad.
And as al-Hasan al-Basree (رحمہ اللہ) said, Allaah will not remove these bad
rulers from us untill we get better.
We should make tawbah, we should begin with ourselves.
Allaah says in al-qur'an:
( إِنَّ اللَّـهَ لَا يُغَيِّرُمَا بِقَوْمٍ حَتَّىٰ يُغَيِّرُوا مَا
بِأَنفُسِهِمْ)
interpretation of the meaning: Indeed, Allaah will not change the condition of a
people untill they change what is in themselves."
(surah 13 ayah 11)
So we have to start with ourselves, if we get better, the rulers get better,
understood?
And an example as the scholars mention is the event called as "The first fitnah
in Islam."
Hudhayfah (رضی اللہ عنہ) said, the first fitnah in Islam. And it was that
uthmaan got killed, (رضی اللہ عنہ).
"Uthmaan ibn Affaan, Dhun noorayn, one of the best humans who walked upon this
earth.
The prophet (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) said that he (رضی اللہ عنہ) is promised
paradise.
'Uthmaan (رضی اللہ عنہ) spent so much money that he preparted an entire army,
the army of al-'Usra (jaish al-usra).
The Prophet (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) said:
("مَا ضَرَّ عُثْمَانَ مَا عَمِلَ بَعْدَ الْيَوْمِ " )
it doesn't matter what 'uthmaan does after today."
(ref: sunan tirmihdi, raqam:3701 imaam tirmidhi (رحمہ اللہ) graded this as hasan
ghareeb, narrated in ahmad (رحمہ اللہ) volume: 5, page: 63 raqam: 20906, imaam
haakim (رحمہ اللہ) graded it as sahee 3/102, imaam dhahabi (رحمہ اللہ) has
agreed with him, shaykh al-baani (رحمہ اللہ) has graded as hasan in takhreej
al-mishkaat, raqam: 6073, haafith zubair ali zay (رحمہ اللہ) graded as hasan in
his tahqeeq of mishkaat, raqam: 6073)
Meaning khalaas, Paradise is guaranteed for him.
He married two daughters of the Prophet (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم).
Two of them, that's why he is called Dhun-noorayn, the man with two lights.
This man, ruled over Madeenah, he was the third Khaleefah of Islam.
The fitnah started, and people began to backbite him...
Down in Egypt, Iraaq, a hypocrite called 'Abdullah bin Sabba 2. began to incite
the people against 'Uthmaan saying he was unjust.
"He takes the money of the Muslims...
He gives preference to relatives...
He's unjust...
We have to go and change what is wrong."
And it continued like this, boiling and boiling until 600 of them went to
Madeenah.
Of these rioters.
They [madeenah] received information that they were on the way and 'Ali (رضی
اللہ عنہ) went and met them outside of Madeenah, advising them.
And explained that these points are wrong because of this and this and this, and
he defended 'Uthmaan.
Until they...
They were left in peace, 'Uthmaan (رضی اللہ عنہ) said "let them be, let them go
back, don't punish them."
They went back to Egypt.
They started to write false letters saying that 'Uthmaan called for their
killing.
"Kill these rioters"
They started to spread false things about 'Uthmaan (رضی اللہ عنہ) again.
And while in Hajj, the majority of the Sahabah went to hajj...
this group of people went to Madeenah and lured the people that they were going
to perform Hajj, and they came to Madeenah.
They attacked 'Uthmaan and 'Uthmaan (رضی اللہ عنہ) went to the Masjid and
defended himself...
He told them that he is promise Paradise, he told them everything and defended
himself against these accusations.
Then a man from amongst them took him dragging him along the ground, while he
was more than 80 years old (i.e. 'Uthmaan).
They took him to his house and gave him some kind of house arrest.
He didnt get neither any food nor anything to drink.
80 years old...
Several days past by, 'Ali tried to bring some food.
'Ali asked him if they can kill these people and 'Uthmaan answered by saying:
"No, let them be, we do not want to spill blood in the Ummah of Muhammad, let
them be."
Untill 'Uthmaan (رضی اللہ عنہ) didn't have any food nor anything to drink, and
after some days...
He saw the prophet (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) in his dream...
(From me: seems like in here the brother who is delivering the lecture is
weeping..)
And the Prophet (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) he said, interpretation of the meaning:
"O 'Uthmaan, you will iftaar [break your fast] with us today"
(brother is again weeping..)
So 'Uthmaan (رضی اللہ عنہ) fasted that day.
and he wore pants, sirwaal, and it wasn't a habit of his to wear pants.
Before Islam nor in Islam.
but, do you why he wore pants [that day]?
He thought "if i am going to be killed, I am afraid that my 'awrah will show."
(رضی اللہ عنہ)
He was so shy that even the angels were ashamed of him, even the angels. (رضی
اللہ عنہ)
and the Prophet (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) said:
(أَلاَ أَسْتَحِي مِنْ رَجُلٍ تَسْتَحِي مِنْهُ الْمَلاَئِكَةُ)
interpretation of the meaning: "should I not be shy of a man whom the angels are
shamed of"
(sahee muslim, raqam al-hadeeth: 2401)
So he wore pants, fasted and began to read the Qur'an.
And these people came in to him and killed him...
And they say, the first blood drop that fell, it fell upon the saying of Allaah
ta'lah:
(فَسَيَكْفِيكَهُمُ اللَّـهُ)
interpretation of the meaning: Allaah will be sufficient for you against them."
(surah baqarah 2 verse: 137)
They say until today, this Mus-haff exists and this drop is still there on that
spot.
They killed him and said that a man afterwords sat on his chest stabbing him 9
times and said:
"The first three are for Allaah's sake, and the 6 remaining are because of my
hatred for you."
A'udhubillah
A'udhubillah.
They said, "This is jihaad, we have killed the great kaafir" and so on...
A'udhubillah.
So this is what it can lead it. one begins to talk, make takfeer, and in the end
it is halaal to kill him.
and from that day, the fitnah has continued in this Ummah.
Between Muslims, that one has killed Muslims, the rulers. It was that same
people who later said that 'Ali (رضی اللہ عنہ) was a kaafir (wal ayaazu billah).
They said:
"Ali (رضی اللہ عنہ) doesn't rule with the law of Allaah."
Allaah says in al-qur'an:
(وَمَن لَّمْ يَحْكُم بِمَا أَنزَلَ اللَّـهُ فَأُولَـٰئِكَ هُمُ الْكَافِرُونَ
﴿٤٤﴾....")
interpretation of the meaning: "...And whoever does not judge by what Allah has
revealed - then it is those who are the disbelievers."
(surah al-maaidah 5 ayah: 44)
They misinterpreted these verse and said that 'Ali (رضی اللہ عنہ) is a kaafir,
(wal-ayaazu billah).
And 'Abdul rahman Bin Muljim killed 'Ali (رضی اللہ عنہ), he thought he was
coming closer to Allaah by doing that.3

4. From me: All the Arabic from Qur'an and Sunnah and duas upon sahaba and
scholars In arabic etc are added for better understanding, and fair evidence, In
sha Allaah. But I personally think all and all, ma sha Allaah, a good way to
explain and learn about something happened in past and still happening, may
Allaah give jaza-e-khayr to our revert brother abdul wudood for his effort and
such a nice insight of this issue.. May Allah protect him, and Allah knows the
best.
