Schools closure in Peshawar cantt create panic in city

Peshawar, January 16, 2016. Government and private educational institutions were closed in Peshawar cantt area due to security thereat without any notification on Saturday morning. The management of the school didn’t inform earlier to the parents and the students that create panic in city.

According to the detail on Saturday morning on 8.15 am mostly school of the area were closed by management and teachers inform the students that unknown reasons the schools is closed that’s why leave the school. In some area of the cantt, police official reached to the schools and enforced the management to close the school.

In the area of Nothia near Peshawar cantt police official enforced the principal of Bacha Khan Girls High School to close the school and evacuate the children; otherwise police will register the FIR Against the Principal. More than 60 Government and 80 Private schools in the area of Peshawar cantt were closed down without any reason.

Closing the schools in area of cantt creates panic and other schools in city area were also closed down by the management of the school. The rumors were in city, that suicide attacks the school, that’s why school management closed down the schools.

Parents whose left their children in school, reached in rush to the schools to take their children, some school inform the parents to come and take their children , while some private schools left the children without inform to the parents and students were on roads , while their parents stand in the front of schools. That does create issue for the managements and schools.

A students of the local private school in Gulbahar namely Hassan said that he is student of class five , today is our paper , we start our paper and stopped us that situation is not normal and she said leave the school , paper will on Monday again. He said we don’t; know the reason why school closed down, but all students left the school. One month back security threat were issued that terrorists may attack and target the school near future in Peshawar cantt or city.

Closing of the schools in city area of Peshawar, District Nazim Arbab Asim also takes action and called to District Education officer to enquire the issue and school closed down. No official version available about the closing of the schools in cantt area.

On other side parents of the students also angered over the heavy security fees of the private school, which they are paying to the school management, but yesterday after the panic they know that some schools didn’t even buy the single weapon for the protection of their children.
