The King's Red Nose
(Shifaa Sarfaraz, Islamabad)
Once upon a time, there lived a
king with lots of servants in a big castle.
One day, Early in the morning. The king went to walk with two servants. In the
way he found a Turtle.
It was singing a song something like this:
The king has a big nose.
The king has a red nose.
The king gets angry.
The king said to his servants Hang it from the tree.
The turtle said thanks I can eat fresh leaves from the tree.
The king said no don’t hang it from the tree throw him in the water.
The turtle said no
Don’t throw me in the water
I don’t like to get wet and I don’t know how to swim.
The kings said throw him at once to the servants.
They threw it in to the water.
The turtle swam happily.
This time the turtle sing a different song:
The foolish king has a big nose.
The foolish king has a red nose.
The king’s nose becomes bigger and redder.
Both of the servants smiled to see it.
