Sultan and the King
(Shifaa Sarfaraz, Islamabad)
Once, there lived a king in a
very big castle with lots of servants.
One thing everyone likes of him was he answered everything that any one asked
from him, even if it is a servant or even a queen.
Only one servant he say all things the most.
So one day, All the servants came together and said Sir,
Your highness we all are here to only ask one thing can we ask it, sir.
The king answered yes why not what is your question.
The servants said our question is why you only say sultan everything.
Why not me?
Why not all of them? One of the servants said.
The king replied,
Okay, this is your question
I will say something to all of you will you do it for me
The servants,
Yes Sir why not.
The king said,
One of you will go and see that how many apples are there in the tree in which
the farmer is watering.
One of them went there and then came back he said to the king there are 20
apples in the tree.
Then the king asked there is a pound, are there fishes in the pound?
The servant,
I have not seen it.
The king
Go and call sultan.
When he come
The king said to him look at that pot.
Now go and look how many flowers are there in the pot.
Sultan
Okay sir as you wish.
When he came back,
The king
How many are there?
Sultan
There are 6 flowers in the pot.
The king
There is a pond in the garden,
Sultan
Yes sir,
There is a pond in the garden.
The king
Are there some fishes in the pond?
Sultan
Yes there are 4 fishes in the pond.
The king
There is a mango tree
Sultan
Yes sir there is 30 mangoes in that tree.
The king
Okay you can go.
Now he said to the servants you see that’s why I only say him everything.
