Positive Thinking
(Rafey Iqbal Rahman, Karachi)
Life is not a bed of roses. It
comprises of many ups and down, many ridges and furrows. It totally depends on
the person’s thinking that how he leads his/her life. Whether he/she lives the
life at its fullest or just survives another day waiting for departure (death).
A person should think positive and stay optimistic no matter whatever the
situation is. Moreover positivity is also linked with the religion of Muslims.
The best example of positive thinking can be cited from a condition where a
glass is occupied with liquid half to the mark, the positive thinker (optimist)
will say of it as half-filled, while the negative thinker (Pessimist) will
declare it as half-empty. I know that the example cited is very old but it
possesses a strong message. Living a life of anxiety will not relieve your
tensions. It’ll make your life even more miserable than it should be. Anxiety
and fear will not bring the joy back in your life. An optimist is the one who,
in spite of the adverse situations, accepts the ground reality and thrive to
surpass the difficult moments and certainly succeeds because of his/her will and
courage.
