Wall of Kindness:The Hunza Wall

(Naufal Safwan, Lahore)

A Wall of Kindness has been set up by Pak Care Foundation in Karimabad, Hunza. It’s the first of its kind in Hunza and has a special section reserved for Books and stationary. Hunza, with one of the highest literacy rates, 95%, has developed a lot over the past few decades but still, there are few underprivileged people. The Wall of Kindness aims to aid such people.

Team PCF visited Hunza Valley on Eid and unlike others, who usually celebrate Eid meeting relatives, these young and ambitious students created the first ever Wall of kindness in Hunza. Pak Care Foundation, an aspiring project of these students, with an aim of Educating, Empowering and Evolving Pakistan is a perfect example of what is currently needed in Pakistan.

The local people of Hunza have played an important role in making this project successful. Without their help and cooperation, this project would have never achieved the success which it has now.

The purpose of this Wall of Kindness was to promote sharing and mutualism among the local people which Pak Care Foundation has achieved. The special section reserved for books in this Wall of Kindness reflects their aim “Educate,Empower,Evolve”. The students behind this project believe that Pakistan can only evolve if everyone takes responsibility as a loyal citizen of the country because even a little effort can make a difference. And as it always is; If not us then who? If not now, then when? This is what inspired these young students and hopefully inspires many more to make Pakistan a better place.
