Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) provides electricity services to the capital city of Islamabad and nearby areas. Analyzing the current global warming and economic situation of the country, IESCO has brought an initiative that will not only protect our precious resources but will also pave a path for income and savings for the people of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and nearby areas. IESCO Green Meter, that’s correct. If you want to learn about what it is, how it works, and how to implement it, then continue reading; we have provided all the essential details about the IESCO Green Meter.
IESCO Green Meter—Efficient System for Solar Users
The IESCO green meter is a system by which people who have a solar system installed or are planning to install one on their premises can give the surplus energy generated by their system back to the national grid.
The word “green” indicates the adoption of environmentally friendly practices. The benefits of this system are that rather than wasting the excess energy, customers can earn from it. Unlike WAPDA’s traditional meters, green meters automatically send consumption and electricity export data to IESCO’s central system without manual readings.
IESCO Green Meter Bill Calculator
An online IESCO green meter bill calculator can be found online. This tool helps the customers to estimate how much they will save and how much they need to pay after adopting this technology. It takes into consideration the IESCO green meter unit price, which is 9.74 per kilowatt-hour (kWh), units consumed during peak and off-peak hours, and units exported to the national grid to calculate the final payable amount by the customer and the credits earned by exporting surplus energy.
IESCO Green Meter Requirement
If you are planning to adopt the system, then make sure to check the IESCO green meter requirement listed here:
