وَ مَا مَنَعَ النَّاسَ اَنْ یُّؤْمِنُوْۤا اِذْ جَآءَهُمُ الْهُدٰى وَ یَسْتَغْفِرُوْا رَبَّهُمْ اِلَّاۤ اَنْ تَاْتِیَهُمْ سُنَّةُ الْاَوَّلِیْنَ اَوْ یَاْتِیَهُمُ الْعَذَابُ قُبُلًا ﴿۵۵﴾

اور آدمیوں کو کسی چیز نے اس سے روکا کہ ایمان لاتے جب ہدایت (ف۱۱۹) ان کے پاس آئی اور اپنے رب سے معافی مانگتے (ف۱۱۳) مگر یہ کہ ان پر اگلوں کا دستور آئے (ف۱۲۱) یا ان پر قسم قسم کا عذاب آئے، ﴿۵۵﴾
(ترجمہ: کنزالایمان) اور لوگوں کے پاس جب ہدایت آگئی تو ان کو کس چیز نے منع کیا کہ ایمان لائیں۔ اور اپنے پروردگار سے بخشش مانگیں۔ بجز اس کے کہ (اس بات کے منتظر ہوں کہ) انہیں بھی پہلوں کا سا معاملہ پیش آئے یا ان پر عذاب سامنے آموجود ہو ﴿۵۵﴾

Surah Kahf Ayat 55 with English Translation

And naught hindereth mankind from believing when the guidance cometh unto them, and from asking forgiveness of their Lord unless (it be that they wish) that the judgment of the men of old should come upon them or (that) they should be confronted with the Doom. ﴾55﴿
