وَ مَا كَانَ اسْتِغْفَارُ اِبْرٰهِیْمَ لِاَبِیْهِ اِلَّا عَنْ مَّوْعِدَةٍ وَّعَدَهَاۤ اِیَّاهُۚ-فَلَمَّا تَبَیَّنَ لَهٗۤ اَنَّهٗ عَدُوٌّ لِّلّٰهِ تَبَرَّاَ مِنْهُؕ-اِنَّ اِبْرٰهِیْمَ لَاَوَّاهٌ حَلِیْمٌ ﴿۱۱۴﴾

Surah Taubah Ayat 114 with Urdu Translation
اور ابراہیم کا اپنے باپ (ف۲۶۷) کی بخشش چاہنا وہ تو نہ تھا مگر ایک وعدے کے سبب جو اس سے کرچکا تھا (ف۲۶۸) پھر جب ابراہیم کو کھل گیا کہ وہ اللہ کا دشمن ہے اس سے تنکا توڑ دیا (لاتعلق ہوگیا) (ف۲۶۹) بیشک ابراہیم بہت آہیں کرنے والا (ف۲۷۰) متحمل ہے، ﴿۱۱۴﴾
(ترجمہ: کنزالایمان) اور ابراہیم کا اپنے باپ کے لیے بخشش مانگنا تو ایک وعدے کا سبب تھا جو وہ اس سے کر چکے تھے۔ لیکن جب ان کو معلوم ہوگیا کہ وہ خدا کا دشمن ہے تو اس سے بیزار ہوگئے۔ کچھ شک نہیں کہ ابراہیم بڑے نرم دل اور متحمل تھے  ﴿۱۱۴﴾

Surah Taubah Ayat 114 with English Translation

The prayer of Abraham for the forgiveness of his father was only because of a promise he had promised him, but when it had become clear unto him that he (his father) was an enemy to Allah he (Abraham) disowned him. Lo! Abraham was soft of heart, long-suffering. ﴾114﴿
