حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْوَاحِدِ بْنِ حَمْزَةَ، عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى سُهَيْلِ ابْنِ بَيْضَاءَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَى هَذَا عِنْدَ بَعْضِ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ الشَّافِعِيُّ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ مَالِكٌ:‏‏‏‏ لَا يُصَلَّى عَلَى الْمَيِّتِ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وقَالَ الشَّافِعِيُّ:‏‏‏‏ يُصَلَّى عَلَى الْمَيِّتِ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَاحْتَجَّ بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ.

Urdu Translation

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی الله عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے سہیل بن بیضاء ۱؎ کی نماز جنازہ مسجد میں پڑھی ۲؎۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن ہے، ۲- بعض اہل علم کا اسی پر عمل ہے، ۳- شافعی کا بیان ہے کہ مالک کہتے ہیں: میت پر نماز جنازہ مسجد میں نہیں پڑھی جائے گی، ۴- شافعی کہتے ہیں: میت پر نماز جنازہ مسجد میں پڑھی جا سکتی ہے، اور انہوں نے اسی حدیث سے دلیل پکڑی ہے۔

English Translation

Aishah narrated: The Messenger of Allah performed Salat over Suhail bin Al-Baida in the Masjid.
