Anas bin Malik narrated similar to this (no. 147).: [He said:] There are narrations on this topic from 'Abdullah bin Mas'ud, Ibn Abbas, and Wathilah bin AI-Asqa.

قَالَ سَعِيدٌ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ سُفْيَانُ:‏‏‏‏ وَحَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ نَحْوَ هَذَا. قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ،‏‏‏‏ وَابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ،‏‏‏‏ وَوَاثِلَةَ بْنِ الْأَسْقَعِ. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ وَهَذَا حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَى هَذَا عِنْدَ بَعْضِ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَهُوَ قَوْلُ أَحْمَدَ،‏‏‏‏ وَإِسْحَاق، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَدْ رَوَى يُونُسُ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ.

اس سند سے انس بن مالک سے بھی   اسی طرح کی حدیث مروی ہے۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- اس باب میں عبداللہ بن مسعود، ابن عباس اور واثلہ بن اسقع رضی الله عنہم سے بھی احادیث آئی ہیں، ۳- بعض اہل علم کا اسی پر عمل ہے، یہی احمد اور اسحاق بن راہویہ کا بھی قول ہے۔
