Narrated Abu Hurairah: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was asked: 'Which deed is the most virtuos ? And which deed is the best ?' He (ﷺ) said: 'Faith in Allah and His Messenger.' It was said: 'Then what ?' He said: 'Jihad is the hump (the most prominent) of the deeds.' Then what O Messenger of Allah ? He said: 'Then Hajj Mabrur.' [Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih, it has been reported through other routes from Abu Hurairah from the Prophet (ﷺ).

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَيُّ الْأَعْمَالِ أَفْضَلُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَوْ أَيُّ الْأَعْمَالِ خَيْرٌ ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِيمَانٌ بِاللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قِيلَ:‏‏‏‏ ثُمَّ أَيُّ شَيْءٍ ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ الْجِهَادُ سَنَامُ الْعَمَلِ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قِيلَ:‏‏‏‏ ثُمَّ أَيُّ شَيْءٍ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ ثُمَّ حَجٌّ مَبْرُورٌ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَدْ رُوِيَ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.

ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے پوچھا گیا: کون سا عمل افضل ہے، یا کون سا عمل سب سے بہتر ہے؟ آپ نے فرمایا: ”اللہ اور اس کے رسول پر ایمان لانا“، پوچھا گیا: پھر کون؟ آپ نے فرمایا: ”جہاد، وہ نیکی کا کوہان ہے“۔ پوچھا گیا: اللہ کے رسول! پھر کون؟ آپ نے فرمایا: ”حج مبرور ( مقبول ) “۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- یہ حدیث ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ کے واسطے سے مرفوع طریقہ سے کئی سندوں سے آئی ہے۔
