Abdullah bin Mas'ud narrated: Allah's Messenger would say the Takbir for every lowering and raising, standing and sitting, and (so did) Abu Bakr and Umar.

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ، وَالْأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُكَبِّرُ فِي كُلِّ خَفْضٍ وَرَفْعٍ وَقِيَامٍ وَقُعُودٍ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعُمَرُ. قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَنَسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَابْنِ عُمَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وأَبِي مَالِكٍ الْأَشْعَرِيِّ،‏‏‏‏ وَأَبِي مُوسَى،‏‏‏‏ وَعِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ،‏‏‏‏ ووَائِلِ بْنِ حُجْرٍ،‏‏‏‏ وَابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ حَدِيثُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَيْهِ عِنْدَ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏مِنْهُمْ أَبُو بَكْرٍ،‏‏‏‏ وَعُمَرُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعُثْمَانُ،‏‏‏‏ وَعَلِيٌّ وَغَيْرُهُمْ وَمَنْ بَعْدَهُمْ مِنَ التَّابِعِينَ وَعَلَيْهِ عَامَّةُ الْفُقَهَاءِ وَالْعُلَمَاءِ.

عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ہر جھکنے، اٹھنے، کھڑے ہونے اور بیٹھنے کے وقت اللہ اکبر کہتے ۱؎ اور ابوبکر اور عمر رضی الله عنہما بھی۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی الله عنہ کی حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- اس باب میں ابوہریرہ، انس، ابن عمر، ابو مالک اشعری، ابوموسیٰ، عمران بن حصین، وائل بن حجر اور ابن عباس رضی الله عنہم سے بھی احادیث آئی ہیں، ۳- صحابہ کرام کا جن میں ابوبکر، عمر، عثمان علی رضی الله عنہم وغیرہ شامل ہیں اور ان کے بعد کے تابعین کا عمل اسی پر ہے اور اسی پر اکثر فقہاء و علماء کا عمل بھی ہے۔
