Baab Aadaab O Ikhlaq Ka Bayan

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيل، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبَّادٍ الْمَدَنِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي يَحْيَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاق، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ قَدِمَ زَيْدُ بْنُ حَارِثَةَ الْمَدِينَةَ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي بَيْتِي، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَتَاهُ فَقَرَعَ الْبَابَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَامَ إِلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عُرْيَانًا يَجُرُّ ثَوْبَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَاللَّهِ مَا رَأَيْتُهُ عُرْيَانًا قَبْلَهُ وَلَا بَعْدَهُ فَاعْتَنَقَهُ وَقَبَّلَهُ ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏لَا نَعْرِفُهُ مِنْ حَدِيثِ الزُّهْرِيِّ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ.

Urdu Translation

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی الله عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ   زید بن حارثہ مدینہ آئے ( اس وقت ) رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم میرے گھر میں تشریف فرما تھے، وہ آپ کے پاس آئے اور دروازہ کھٹکھٹایا، تو آپ ان کی طرف ننگے بدن اپنے کپڑے سمیٹتے ہوئے لپکے اور قسم اللہ کی میں نے آپ کو ننگے بدن نہ اس سے پہلے کبھی دیکھا تھا اور نہ اس کے بعد دیکھا ۱؎، آپ نے ( بڑھ کر ) انہیں گلے لگا لیا اور ان کا بوسہ لیا۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن غریب ہے، ۲- ہم اسے صرف زہری کی روایت سے صرف اسی سند سے جانتے ہیں۔

English Translation

Narrated 'Aishah: Zaid bin Harithah arrived in Al-Madinah while the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was in his house. So he went and knocked at the door, so the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) stood naked (1), dragging his garment - and by Allah! I did not see him naked before nor afterwards - and he hugged him and kissed him. (1) They say that the meaning of naked here is that he was not wearing his Rida or upper wrap and it was that which was dragging, so the area between the navel and knees were covered.
