Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: The thigh is 'Awrah.

حَدَّثَنَا وَاصِلُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى الْكُوفِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ، عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ، عَنْ أَبِي يَحْيَى، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ الْفَخِذُ عَوْرَةٌ .

جرہد اسلمی رضی الله عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”ران ستر ( چھپانے کی چیز ) ہے“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث اس سند سے حسن غریب ہے، ۲- اس باب میں علی اور محمد بن عبداللہ بن جحش سے بھی احادیث آئی ہیں۔ اور عبداللہ بن جحش اور ان کے بیٹے محمد رضی الله عنہما دونوں صحابی رسول ہیں۔
