Narrated Anas: that the Prophet (ﷺ) said to him: O my little son.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ أَبِي الشَّوَارِبِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عُثْمَانَ شَيْخٌ لَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَهُ:‏‏‏‏ يَا بُنَيَّ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَفِي الْبَابِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الْمُغِيرَةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعُمَرَ بْنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَدْ رُوِيَ مِنْ غَيْرِ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ عَنْ أَنَسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَبُو عُثْمَانَ هَذَا شَيْخٌ ثِقَةٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَهُوَ الْجَعْدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ وَيُقَالُ ابْنُ دِينَارٍ وَهُوَ بَصْرِيٌّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَدْ رَوَى عَنْهُ يُونُسُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَشُعْبَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَغَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ مِنَ الْأَئِمَّةِ.

انس رضی الله عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مجھے «يا بني» ”اے میرے بیٹے“ کہہ کر پکارا ۱؎۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث اس سند سے حسن صحیح غریب ہے، ۲- اس سند کے علاوہ کچھ دیگر سندوں سے بھی انس سے روایت ہے، ۳- ابوعثمان یہ ثقہ شیخ ہیں اور ان کا نام جعد بن عثمان ہے، اور انہیں ابن دینار بھی کہا جاتا ہے اور یہ بصرہ کے رہنے والے ہیں۔ ان سے یونس بن عبید اور کئی ائمہ حدیث نے روایت کی ہے، ۴- اس باب میں مغیرہ اور عمر بن ابی سلمہ سے بھی احادیث آئی ہیں۔
