حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا خَلَّادُ بْنُ أَسْلَمَ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا النَّضْرُ بْنُ شُمَيْلٍ، عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ، عَنْ ثُوَيْرِ بْنِ أَبِي فَاخِتَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ مَا فِي الْقُرْآنِ آيَةٌ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لا يَغْفِرُ أَنْ يُشْرَكَ بِهِ وَيَغْفِرُ مَا دُونَ ذَلِكَ لِمَنْ يَشَاءُ سورة النساء آية 48 ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَبُو فَاخِتَةَ اسْمُهُ سَعِيدُ بْنُ عِلَاقَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَثُوَيْرٌ يُكْنَى أَبَا جَهْمٍ وَهُوَ رَجُلٌ كُوفِيٌّ مِنَ التَّابِعِينَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَدْ سَمِعَ مِنَ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَابْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَابْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ كَانَ يَغْمِزُهُ قَلِيلًا.

Urdu Translation

علی بن ابی طالب رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   قرآن میں کوئی آیت مجھے اس آیت: «إن الله لا يغفر أن يشرك به ويغفر ما دون ذلك لمن يشاء» ”اللہ اس بات کو معاف نہیں کر سکتا کہ اس کے ساتھ شرک کیا جائے، ہاں اس کے سوا جس کسی بھی چیز کو چاہے گا معاف کر دے گا“ ( النساء: ۱۱۶ ) ، سے زیادہ محبوب و پسندیدہ نہیں ہے۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن غریب ہے، ۲- ابوفاختہ کا نام سعید بن علاقہ ہے، ۳- ثویر کی کنیت ابوجہم ہے اور وہ کوفہ کے رہنے والے ہیں تابعی ہیں اور ابن عمر اور ابن زبیر سے ان کا سماع ہے، ابن مہدی ان پر کچھ طعن کرتے تھے۔

English Translation

Narrated Thuwair - Ibn Abi Fakhitah: from his father that 'Ali bin Abi Talib said: There is no Ayah in the Qur'an more beloved to me than this Ayah: Verily Allah forgives not associating others with Him, but He forgives what is less than that for whomever He wills (4:116).
